Kiwi can
Today for kiwi can we played a game called two truths and one lie. This is on the topic of accountability. Accountability means to be ready for any think so this mean that you are ready to have a good day at school by having what you need for your sports and that you need it for your regular day. We were also talking about integrity and this mean that you will be honest and have non of your lies that is holding you back.

Kahoot.it

For our last election task we had to create a kahoot quiz with at least 10 question based on the elections. Thank you to Fraidon group for sharing their kahoot with LS2. One of the questions we had to answer was who is the leader for the Labour party. I think learning about elections is amazing and enjoyable.

What Is A Coalition?
Today LS2 was discussing about the election on Saturday. The problem with the election is that Labour and National do not have enough sets so they are waiting for the New Zealand first (Winston Peters). Tiava, Ofa, Mataio and I learnt what a coalition is. My group learnt that a coalition is when the little group of parties is aligned with the bigger parties to gain more seats for them to become the Prime Minister. We also learnt who our MP is for our local area.

Zane - making connections
Today for reading we read a book called a Tour Like No Other. It was a very interesting book. it was talking about when the All Blacks played South Africa. There was a problem because the South African didn't allow the Maori's to play so there was a lot of protesting. There were two protesters that stole a plane and doped flour bombs and flares and did you know one of the flour bombs doped on a player. But after that they were jailed for months.

Reduce Reuse Recycle
Today I created this poster about what I think Reduce Reuse Recycle means. I had to check 3 sites for the same information and if it was the same I could use it. I think reduce means to use less of one thing, reuse means to use something more than once, and recycle means to use something again in a different way.

Current Events - ivory
Today Mataio and I read about why China is going to ban sales of ivory by the end of the year. I think they have made this choice to save animals with tusks and horns being killed by poachers. I hope by shutting down the 34 factories and 138 shops that make and sell ivory it stops this happening.

No one knew...
I put my harness on and I got it done up fast so I was ready to climb. My heart was racing as I stepped onto the ladder.
I went first so no one would know I was scared of heights. I started climbing and climbed all the way up the ladder. When I got to the top and I slowly walked across the log trying to keep my balance but I wasn't balanced fell. Luckily I was fine. I walked across and looked down. It was double the size of when I was on the ground! I was frightened!
I could see the falls, it was an amazing view well even if it had mud in it. I got on my knees and started doing push ups. They were hard because I had no room to put my hands anywhere. I did 2 but the person who did the best did 20.
Then it was time to come down. It was so dangerous because I almost hit my head on the log.

When I got back down to the ground I could feel the adrenaline going through my body. I felt really happy but I inside I was freaking out!
This is my recount of my best 5 minutes of camp. We had to use our words to paint a picture in the mind of the reader to recount our experiences.
